PITTER PATTER

This book considers closely visual impairment during pre-school years. It hones in on communication, body language, independent travel, play, making toys and sensory gardens.

PITTER PATTER offers practical strategies for maximising voice and touch to augment vision. It addresses problems associated with sleep, age appropriate independence to include dressing, feeding, meal times, movement and independent travel.

Because play is serious, significant and develops the entire person, we cover that too.

PITTER PATTER is one of a trilogy which also includes INNOCENCE AND EXPERIENCE and MANAGING THE NOISE.

All three have a strong emphasis on home education during pre-school years; that is, not replace statutory services but instead augment what should be available.

To encourage the vital area of communication, sensory and physical development each one is also crammed full of nursery rhymes, action songs and bed time stories.
