An often unexpected consequence after giving birth to a child with a visual impairment is a need to manage the family and external agencies. To help, this book offers the experiences of others similarly placed, claiming state benefits and securing appropriate statutory support.

All three have a strong emphasis on home education during pre-school years; that is, not replace statutory services but instead augment what should be available.
